On 16 March 2012, the Queensland Floods Commission of Inquiry released its final report into the 2010-11 floods.
The report made 177 recommendations directed at a broad range of issues, including
On 7 June 2012, the Premier tabled the Queensland Government response to the final report.
The response supports all of the report’s recommendations, and outlines the Government’s framework for ongoing implementation of the recommendations.
This framework includes establishing five implementation groups:
The department is leading the Dams Implementation Group and had a key role in implementing recommendations within the Building and Planning Implementation Groups.
